I started my Scouting career as a Cub Scout, earning my Arrow of Light.  Shortly thereafter, I moved and didn’t restart my Scouting career until I was 16.  I earned my Eagle in 1992.  I attended Central Missouri State University, now UCM, and am currently a Police Corporal with the Warrensburg Police Department.  In 2007 I attended EMT school and am currently a part-time EMT with the Johnson County Ambulance District.  I participated in the original Aviation Encampments held at Skyhaven and sponsered by the University and Boy Scout Troop 400.  This event was always a highlight of the year, which makes me very excited to be a part of its coordination and planning today.  Over the years I have continued with scouting as an Assistant Scoutmaster with Troop 400 and serve as a Lead Commissioner at the H. Roe Bartle Scout Reservation, Camp Lone Star.  I am a member of the Tribe of Mic-O-Say and the Order of the Arrow.
I truly believe in the ideals of Scouting and have tried to live every day by the Scout Oath and Law.  The Scouting Merit Badge program is designed, in part, to provide Scouts with a wide array of experiences to better help them in deciding what career they may set their sites on.  It is with this in mind that I find the Merit Badge University so important.  It as an event like this that future scientists, aviators, police officers, firefighters, computer graphic artists, etc are born.  It is my hope that I am able to continue to bring this event to current and future Scouts for years to come!
