Dr. Greg Houtsma

Dr. Greg Houtsma earned his bachelor’s degree in honors biochemistry at Mt. Allison University in New Brunswick, Canada. After graduating, he entered Atlantic Veterinary College at the University of Prince Edward Island, where he earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. He worked for several years in mixed animal practice, as well as practicing small animal emergency work in Illinois.

Immediately prior to coming to Warrensburg in 2004, Dr. Houtsma worked for 4 1/2 years at an exclusively equine practice. Dr. Houtsma is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American Association of Equine Practitioners, the Missouri Veterinary Medical Association and the West Central Veterinary Medical Association.
